Thank you for completing the pre‑screening questions. Based on your responses, you are not eligible to apply for the Safe Room Rebate Program. Eligibility requires meeting all of the following criteria:
- U.S. Citizen Status
- Ownership of the residence
- Location & Risk Factors

Home Characteristics
Historic Preservation Review: Properties containing a building or structure that is 45 years old or older may require additional environmental and historic-preservation review before a safe room can be installed. This review does not necessarily mean the property is historic or ineligible; however, applicants may be required to provide photographs or additional property information, and construction may not begin until the review is complete.

To be eligible for the Safe Room Rebate Program, applicants must live within a jurisdiction that is included in the Denton County Hazard Mitigation Plan (PDF) and participated in the plan’s development. If your jurisdiction is not listed below or you have questions about eligibility, please contact your local emergency manager.
